In het Skagens Kunstmuseum hangen zo\u2019n 250 werken van deze schildersgroep. Ze zijn thematisch bij elkaar geplaatst, portretten, kinderen, zeetaferelen, landschappen en de gelagkamer. De gelagkamer is in zijn geheel overgeplaatst naar het museum inclusief alle portretten, alleen zonder stamtafel. In een aparte zaal is een tijdelijke tentoonstelling met foto\u2019s. De kunstenaars gebruikten foto\u2019s als voorstudie en maakten ook veel foto\u2019s van elkaar, zodat je heel mooi kunt zien hoe ze werkten. In de tuin van het museum drinken we koffie en genieten van de mooie bloemen. Grote kamers met veel meubelen en heel veel kunst aan de wand. Je bent even helemaal terug in de 19e eeuw. We bezoeken ook het huis van Drachman verderop in het dorp. Het is een stuk kleiner, Drachman was ook niet zo bemiddeld als de Anchers, die volgens de suppoost tot de grootste belastingbetalers van Skagen behoorden. Drachman was een grote kerel, 1.97 m , hij had enorme voeten als je afgaat op zijn pantoffels die voor het bed stonden. Drachman was ook vooral een schilder van de zee, de vissers en het duinenlandschap. Door de erosie van de duinen en het zand is de kerk verdwenen en staat alleen de toren nog in het zand.
