Dat betekent eerst langs een hele lange rij vrachtwagens. B\u00e9 en Margriet hebben speciaal daarvoor een bordje toerist achter hun voorraam om aan te geven dat ze niet met hun vrachtwagen stiekem de rij inhalen. Daarna eerst langs de Bulgaarse grenspost. De beambte wenst ons succes als hij hoort dat we onderweg zijn naar Iran. Daarna de Turkse post voor de paspoorten en de visa. Vervolgens een post voor de auto. In Anne&#8217;s paspoort komt een aantekening dat hij met een Mercedes met kenteken de grens is gepasseerd. Netty heeft ooit als studente het aanbod gehad om een Mercedes naar Turkije te brengen samen met een vriendin. De pagina in het paspoort zou er dan netjes uitgesneden worden en ze konden dan met het vliegtuig terug, na een gratis vakantie.<br \/>\nTenslotte nog een bagagecontrole, deurtje open en deurtje dicht, en we zijn in Turkije. Iedereen is vriendelijk, welcome friends! Vijftig kilometer voor Istanbul vinden we een rommelig campinkje aan de Zee van Marmaris. Veel vaste gasten, maar die zijn er nog niet. Wij mogen op het strand staan. Schitterend. Er komt nog een Zwitserse fietser langs die ook onderweg is naar Mongoli\u00eb.
