Onderweg veel ski-oorden, spa\u2019s, wellness, vakantiedorpen en grote reclameposters. Een deel van de route kun je ook per smalspoor doen. Dat doet ons denken aan het smalspoor in Roemeni\u00eb waar we met een stoomtrein de bergen in gingen. Hier is het een oude dieselloc met simpele rijtuigen erachter. Blij dat we dat niet gedaan hebben. Naar het meer zelf allemaal vakantiehuizen, hotels en camping Batak. Eigenaar Chris ontvangt ons en geeft ons een mooi plekje vlakbij het strand. Rond het meer staan veel caravans en campers in groepjes bij het water. Mag je hier wild kamperen? Nee. Legt Chris uit, dat zijn vissers die een vergunning van de gemeente hebben en een dealtje met de eigenaar van de grond. Hij wil ze niet op de camping. Ze drinken veel en maken veel lawaai. Met zoveel water voor de deur is het natuurlijk ook tijd om even te kano\u00ebn. Het water lijkt mooi vlak, maar de wind haalt aan en zorgt voor veel gestuiter. We krijgen ook nog een demonstratie van een blushelikopter te zien. Ze scheppen water uit het meer in een soort grote emmer onder de helikopter en legen dat op de bomen tegenover ons.
