Vlakbij Leer is al sinds 1562 een veerpont op een driesprong van rivieren. Het zijn ook nog eens getijderivieren met een groot verschil tussen eb en vloed. Bij het veer staat een restaurantje en nog een boerderij en een huis. Achter het restaurant kun je met je camper staan. Toen ik ging reserveren voor het eten, kon dat nog net. Wij mogen van de beheerder even kijken. Het is sinds Corona ergrustig in het clubhuis. Hij beveelt ons het restaurant erg aan. Toen hij laatst met een clubje wilde eten in Leer, kon de havenmeester daar hem eigenlijk niks fatsoenlijks aanbevelen. Toen zijn ze maar weer in hun vertrouwde restaurant gaan eten. Dat doen wij ook. Het loopt al snel vol en wij eten heerlijk. Lekkere wijn en trapistenbier.
