Prima plek dus om de stad te verkennen. We willen de stad nog even in om een hapje te eten, maar de tramkaartjes zijn uitverkocht, dus maakt Netty een heerlijke maaltijd in de bus. De volgende dag mooi weer en met kaartjes uit de nieuwe voorraad de tram in. We hebben een schitterende wandelroute door het oude centrum dat na de Tweede Wereldoorlog weer mooi is opgebouwd. Door het vele water en de trapgevels, doet het Nederlands aan. Het is gezellig druk in de stad, met veel toeristen, waaronder veel Polen. We lunchen bij het Italiaanse restaurant met de hoogste waardering en dat klopt. We krijgen een pizza die nadat hij uit de oven kwam nog is voorzien van een aantal verse ingredi\u00ebnten. We parkeren vlakbij en lopen richting het museum. Daar zien we een hele lange rij mensen voor de ingang staan en de rij wordt helaas maar langzaam korter. Gelukkig is het museum gehuisvest in een bijzonder gebouw dat zich goed leent voor foto\u2019s. Als we de stad weer uit rijden, komen we langs de oude werven met kranen in de haven. Dit beeld kennen we uit de jaren \u201980 toen vakbond Solidarnosc onder leiding van Lech Walesa in opstand kwam tegen het communistisch bewind. Van deze oude havens is nog weinig over.
