Vooraf waren er mensen die het best wel wat eng vonden dat wij naar het Oosten zouden gaan, mede door de geopolitieke situatie en de rol van Poetin hierin.. Maar vooral hier in het Zuiden zitten we dichter bij Wit-Rusland. Dat land heeft nu een gedeelte van de Wagner groep binnen zijn grenzen, geen lekkere jongens. Dus we letten op en nemen geen kleine tussendoor weggetjes, toch aan de goede kant van de grens blijven. In Duskinnika is een prachtig beeldenpark Naujasod\u00e9. Hier heeft Antanas Cesulnis een park ingericht met veel , heel veel beelden van hout. Eigenlijk is het een must om hier te gaan kijken. In Litouwen wordt dit \u00e9cht als een kunst gezien. Wij zouden eerder zeggen Volkskunst, maar net zo knap. Het leuke is dat hij niet alleen deze beelden maakt, maar voegt er ook iets aan toe, vooral technisch is hij handig. In het park met veel mooie bomen kom je dus overal beelden tegen. Schrik niet als een dansend paartje opeens onder de tonen van accordeon muziek beginnen te draaien om de polka te dansen. Ook zijn er grappige aanpassingen met metaal en hout.Echt leuk hier een uurtje of wat rond te lopen. Hij wordt ook wel de Leonard da Vinci van Litouwen genoemd.
