We komen uit bij een nogal toeristisch stadje. Wat opvalt zijn de koeien. Niet dat we hier Indiase taferelen hebben, maar overal in de stad staan koeien. Bedoeld als trekker voor het toerisme en het opfleuren van de stad. Naast de koeien zijn er ook overal borders met kleurrijke planten. De plaatselijk ondernemers hebben een koe gesponsord en een plaatselijke kunstenaar makt er dan wat van. Ook bij de camping zelf staat een koe. De camping ligt aan zee, mooi zandstrand. We lopen door een bos en over een aantal duinen zijn we er. Heerlijk om hier even te lopen. Helaas mag de hond niet mee, er staat een bord waarop je kunt zien dan het niet mag. Wij interpreteren het bord zo dat \u201cgrote honden\u201d niet aan het strand zijn toegelaten. We genieten van een mooie zonsondergang. Pieter geniet op zijn eigen manier. \u00a0De volgende dag nog even naar het stadje. We zijn er nog maar net en genieten van de oude haven. Helaas\u00a0begint\u00a0het\u00a0te miezeren, en eerlijk is eerlijk daar word je \u00e9cht nat van. We besluiten het erbij te laten en gaan de raadskelder in, een leuk restaurant waar we genieten van een lekker maaltje dat past bij het weer, lekker stoofpotje met gegrilde groentes. Het kon slechter\u2026. Daarna in de auto en naar de hoofdstad Riga.
